Last Week's Quick News

  • President Obama was in New Orleans for the fifth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. According to the New Orleans Press, halfway through his speech, FEMA finally showed up.

  • Paris Hilton told police that she thought the cocaine found in her purse was gum. This appears to be very common for Hilton since also thought her last CD was music.

  • The Board of Pageantry announced that Miss Mexico, the new Miss Universe, will visit every state in America during her reign. That is every state except Arizona.

  • A Jet Blue flight leaving Newark, New Jersey had to return to the airport after takeoff when an engine cover fell off the plane. Passengers on the plane don't know what was worse — having an engine cover blow off mid-flight or having to go back to New Jersey.
