Ludwik J. "Lud" Kozlowski, Jr., is Energy Policy
Coordinator with the Arkansas Community Action Agencies Association (ACAAA), which provides training, technical
assistance, advocacy, and communications support to the state's 16 community action agencies. As ACAAA's Energy
Policy Coordinator, he leverages additional resources for the state's utility assistance and weatherization programs
for the community action agencies around the state with the goal of helping people of low-income advance toward economic security. Over the three years Lud has worked at ACAAA, major achievements have included implementation of a utility-funded statewide weatherization program based on severely energy inefficient homes criteria, bringing in over $1.3 million to the Weatherization network, and setting up a task force of utility partners working towards making a statewide fuel fund a reality. Formerly, Lud worked at Pulaski County Youth Services, where he did research on census statistics and wrote narratives showing the needs for an after-school program, resulting in a funded grant. Before that, Lud worked for General Physics Corporation as a Domestic Preparedness Programs Instructor, where he taught classes on Weapons of Mass Destruction Technologies and specialized in designing courses/modules on search and rescue gear that outlined maintenance, inspection, and operational requirements so first responders could do proper quality assurance procedures on equipment. Lud's hard work in classroom training and courseware development paid off as he was selected to work internationally with a team on instructional systems design of Corning's Glass Finishing Line in Taiwan. Lud also designed a course on maximizing the Internet's potential when doing research, with post-course evaluations showing that participants cut their research time by 25%. Prior to this, Lud worked as a radio producer/morning sidekick, graduate assistant, substitute teacher, merchandise host at Walt Disney World, and as a telemarketer. Lud has a bachelor's degree in Radio/TV/Film and a Master's Degree in Interpersonal and Organizational Communication both from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Currently, Lud serves on the board of the West Little Rock Civitan Club, enjoys world cultures/traveling, karaoke, bowling, and producing segments for a weekly Internet radio show that is broadcast internationally.
